Amy K. Yardley - Treasurer
BS Political Science, Ball State University
Amy is the owner of Yardley Training and Consulting. She assists
organizations with strategic planning, organizational development and
organizational change. Prior to starting her own business, Amy had been
employed with Oregon Health Sciences University, the State of Alaska,
Charter College, Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group and the
Department of the Army. One of the most enjoyable aspects of Amy's work
is that of staff training and conducting workshop presentations. Amy has
presented at numerous regional and nation conferences, most recently
presenting "Communicating Within the Culture of Poverty" for the National
Eligibility Workers Association (NEW: PATHS, Alaska Chapter).
Amy is passionate about inclusive education as her son is on the Autism
Spectrum. After going through her first public school IEP negotiation for
her son, she was left deeply disappointed and frustrated. Knowing that
something better had to exist, she found North Star and her son was soon
enrolled. Amy is committed to sharing the North Star model for inclusive
education with others so children around the country may benefit and not
be "left behind".
Amy grew up in Coeur d' Alene and enjoys sharing experiences with her
family that she enjoyed as a child. You can often find Amy and her family
at the lake - even in winter!

Robert Thomas Walls III - Director
Bachelor of Arts in French, University of Texas at Austin, graduated
1999
I have been with Wells Fargo Bank for the past 7 years living in Alaska
and Idaho. I joined the board because the existence and success of a
valuable and much needed place like North Star is so important to
children and families in our community.
I do not have a wife or kids but my family is very large and spread all over
the U.S. from Massachusetts to Alaska. For fun I love to play hockey, and
enjoy camping and boating in the beautiful outdoors that North Idaho
offers us!
